Every little girl’s dream come-true: an Auburn Barbie doll

I remember the Auburn cheerleader doll I had when I was a little girl.

She looked an awful lot like a Mattel Barbie doll, but she wasn’t. Mattel didn’t make Auburn University Barbies until just a few weeks ago.

It seems the current makers at Mattel are SEC fans, because you can now find a white or black Barbie sporting cheerleading uniforms from Auburn University, the University of Alabama, LSU and Arkansas.

The dolls each come with uniforms, sneakers and pompoms, cost $24.95 and can be found at barbiecollector.com.

At 22-years-old, I find myself tempted to buy one. I have no doubt these dolls will be the favorites of many little girls’ collections.
