ining up a feature photography shoot for Auburn Magazine is always multidimensional. The team gets together to discuss the story. Ideas start to percolate. We have multiple meetings with the photographer to develop those ideas. Props have to be located; locations have to be scouted and styled. Schedules are confirmed. Oh, and you always have a rain date worked in. The shoot with Back Forty was a little bit  different.

We had to find a naked pig! Of course.

After reaching out to our contacts and those of Back Forty it was looking near impossible. We even posted on our social media platforms. Rain? No problem. Pig? Well maybe.

The guys at Back Forty Beer Co. landed the location for our shoot.

We needed something that was back forty. We needed a barn and lots of land. They knew the perfect spot and were quick to put out the call to their friends.

Did I mention we needed a pig? David Bancroft and his wife of Acre Restaurant in Auburn even got involved in the search. The day before the shoot we got word.  Yes, we would have a pig at the shoot.

Special thanks goes out to Shannon, Dusty and Jasmine Goodson for allowing us to include Jasmine’s show pigs Bos Hog and Midge. We also want to thank Jerry and Bettye Malone for letting us use their beautiful back forty farm for the location.
