Since 2009, Auburn alumni and Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson and his wife Kim, a partner at the Davis Law Firm in Auburn, have dedicated their lives to raising money for individuals, families and children in need due to financial struggles.
The couple began the Hudson Family Foundation four years ago after Tim became aware of the need for charitable organizations in the South with hopes of helping people who bore sudden financial, physical and emotional hardships such as an illness or an accident.
The 2014 Hudson Family Foundation Benefit Weekend is scheduled for Jan. 23-24 in the Auburn University Arena. The weekend will consist of the Honky Tonk Gala, a comedy show put on by Jeff Foxworthy and Opelika native Jody Fuller, and a country music concert performed by Rascal Flatts and Thomas Rhett.
Tickets for the comedy show range from $30-40, and tickers for the concert are between $40 and $60. Auburn faculty, staff, students, and alumni may preorder tickets now at Ticketmaster. When ordering tickets online, make sure to click on the specific event and enter the code HFF in the Hudson Family Foundation special offer box. Tickets may also be attained by calling the foundation at (334) 707-9007 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org to request an order form.
