Conferencing with Students
Conferencing with students can be a vital practice in the classroom. These conferences can be done in your office during set office hours (or when a student requests an appointment outside of those office hours) or in class during group or individual workshopping. You can make these conferences mandatory or optional. It takes a lot of your effort and time to conference, but the benefits are worth it: increased student confidence, better rapport with your students, and submission of more thoughtful assignments by your students.
