Respondus Monitor

Auburn University Office of the Provost will cover the cost for Respondus Monitor during Spring 2022. Starting Summer 2022, students will need to purchase a yearly license for $15 through Respondus the first time they take a quiz. This cost covers unlimited testing.

Respondus Monitor is an AI-only virtual proctoring add-on for Respondus Lockdown Browser. Faculty must review all videos to identify potential academic honesty issues. Biggio data show that faculty do not typically review test-taker videos

Students make the purchase the first time Respondus Monitor is required by an exam in a course. The process is simple, and payment can be made via credit card, debit card, or Paypal.

A student-purchased subscription of Respondus Monitor is valid for 12 months (365 days) and can be used with any online course or exam requiring it at the institution.

Note: This does not affect either the Respondus 4.0 Quiz Creator software or the Lockdown Browser, both of which are still paid by the University.
