Lockdown Browser Error: Course (OK), Exam (UNKNOWN)
While attempting to take a quiz in the Respondus Lockdown Browser, you may encounter an error message that reads “Error: Course (OK), Exam (UNKNOWN). This error message happens when the “Take the Quiz” button is hit before the page has completely loaded. When preparing to take a quiz, you must let the page fully load before you click on the “Take the Quiz” button (or “Take the Quiz Again” button, if your professor has allowed multiple attempts).
The open tab in LockDown Browser contains a spinning loading icon that tells you when the page is fully loaded. In the case of the screenshots below, the spinning icon is indicating the page has not yet finished loading.
A closer look at the loading indicator:
Allow the page to fully load and the spinning icon will disappear. You can now press the “Take the Quiz” button to take your quiz.
