How to Integrate Zoom in Canvas
Note: This Zoom integration is intended for courses taught by a single instructor. If there are multiple teachers, we recommend posting a link to a scheduled Zoom meeting in Canvas. Information on how to schedule a Zoom meeting can be found online.
Begin in your Canvas course, and select Modules on the left-hand navigation bar.
Once selected, navigate to the top right and click the dark blue + Module icon.
In the new window, enter a module name. We recommend just naming it Zoom.
After entering the name, click Add Module at the bottom left of the popup.
Back in the Module tab, a new Zoom entry will be listed.
Navigate to the right-hand side and click the + sign next to the module to add an item.
At the top of the new window, click the drop-down menu and scroll down to select External Tool.
A list of tools will appear, scroll all the way to the bottom until you see Zoom.
After it has been selected, click Add Item at the bottom of the window.
Both the Zoom module and Zoom item are listed on your Modules page. To complete the integration, publish each.
On the right-hand side, click the cloud icons for both the module and the item to publish.
If both cloud icons are green, that indicates that the integration is finished, and the process is complete.
