We’re Hard at Work in the Circle Office

The Auburn Circle staff is hard at work reviewing submissions in the office today. We would love to see more photography and fiction works in the magazine this semester. Don’t forget to turn your submissions in by Friday in the Student Center suite 1115!

Auburn Circle staffers reviewing submissions.

What We Want to See

Writers and artists are notoriously self-critical. With the Spring 2013 submission period underway, we at the Auburn Circle want to see what you have to offer. If you’re stumped as to what to submit or simply don’t think your work is good enough, perhaps our staff can offer you a little direction, inspiration or encouragement. Here’s what some Circle staff members would like to see in this semester’s publication.

“I’d like to see more paintings or more art in general.” – Michelle, Copy Editor

“More song lyrics.” – Elizabeth, Public Relations

“I’d like to see things that are a little more inventive, not all ‘roses are red, violets are blue.’” – Evan, Poetry

“Something with the color green involved. Or more genre fiction.” – Matthew, Fiction

“A wider variety of art like collages, pastels, watercolor.” – Lillian, Public Relations

“I would like to see more old-fashioned art.” – Dana, Photography and Art

“More Sailor Moon fan fiction.” – Matt, Fiction
