What is LeaderShape?
The Institute by Leadershape exists to expand the community of people who lead with integrity and a healthy disregard for the impossible. Auburn University is proud to have been part of that mission since May of 2010, and we will be hosting our ninth session during the summer of 2019.
This six-day experience focuses on building leadership skills and promoting self-discovery that will continue long after each session ends. Utilizing highly interactive program methods rather than classroom lectures, everyone is a teacher and everyone is a learner! The majority of work is done in a large group called The Learning Community. From this group, smaller groups, called Family Clusters are formed where participants work closely together and quickly form meaningful friendships providing a supportive, safe environment.
The Institute by Leadershape at Auburn
The institute takes place each summer at an off-campus location. Transportation to and from the Institute is provided. Each session is comprised of approximately 60 Auburn students. We encourage students to apply regardless of their leadership background or experiences.
Why should I attend?
Students who attend the Institute by Leadershape return to campus with the renewed energy, skills and preparation needed to lead in organization on campus and in the community. Participants create a vision for change that they would like to see in the world and receive support in achieving that vision long after the Institute ends.
