Organizations are encouraged to have active social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Effective social media can help your organization reach new members and retain existing ones.

This can also help combat:

  • Lack of promotion around campus
  • Poor event attendance
  • Ineffective fundraising

 

In fall 2019, Student Involvement presented a Social Media Workshop to all student organizations.

 

The Student Involvement Social Media Workshop will equip you with the tools you need to:

  • Enhance your current social media presence or create a dynamic one
  • Learn best practice for content creation, planning and posting
  • Increase the overall success of your organization

How to Submit to Student Involvement

 

Instagram Takeovers on @auinvolve are a great way to promote a special event or initiative of your organization. Learn more about Instagram Takeovers by watching the Social Media Workshop recording, viewing the Takeovers highlight category on Instagram, or emailing Lindsay Penny at lpenny@auburn.edu. Instagram Takeover requests should be made at least three weeks in advance of the takeover date.
