WHEN?
Classes meet every day of the week. Families can choose to enroll their child in either two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays), or five days per week (Monday-Friday). Beginning in 2023-2024, classes will meet from 8:00am to 12:00pm with optional lunch hour from 12:00-1:00pm and an optional afternoon session from 1:00pm-5:00pm. Our school year begins August 16, 2023 and ends May 14, 2024.
WHO?
Woodland Wonders Nature Preschool is open to children ages 3 to 5 (age as of September 1). If your child falls outside this range, please contact us at natureeducation@auburn.edu and we can discuss individual exceptions. Children must be potty-trained by the beginning of classes. We welcome children from all backgrounds and cultures and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, gender, disability, or age. Woodland Wonders will accept up to 24 students in each class with a teacher-ratio of 1 teacher per 6 students.
HOW?
Step 1: Register
Registration for the 2023/24 school year will open February 1, 2023 for the community. Registration requires a $50.00, non-refundable deposit. Tuition and supplies fees are not required until the first day of class (August 16, 2023). Following registration, you will be contacted by one of our staff to follow-up on your enrollment
Step 2: Complete Required Forms
All forms required by Auburn University policy as well as state and federal regulations must be completed. We’ve simplified these forms into a single process using the link above.
Before completing the required forms, you must read and understand the Parent Handbook.
Step 3: Meet & Greet
Sarah Crim, Woodland Wonders’ lead instructor, will contact you after you register. We will arrange a time for you to meet us and tour the Kreher Preserve & Nature Center. We meet with every family individually, to ensure you have all of your questions answered and so that we have everything we need to provide the best, possible, education for your child(ren).
Step 4: Tuition & Fees

“Tuition” is the full cost of school for the entire school year and includes a daily morning snack as well as a snack in the afternoon (depending on your enrollment options). A one-time supplies fee is added to the tuition and is due before class begins.
Tuition may be paid up-front or in monthly installments according to the chart below (there is no discount for paying up-front). The first payment is due by the first day of class (August 16, 2023); and if you elect to pay via monthly installments, all subsequent payments are due by the first of each month. Siblings attending Woodland Wonders concurrently receive a discount of 10% on tuition (does not apply to supplies fees).
Beginning 2023, Woodland Wonders is offering afternoon and lunch options. You will have the opportunity to select these options during enrollment.
Invoicing software will be used to send automatic reminders about payment due dates each month. You will receive reminders 14 days and 3 days before a payment is due, as well as 7 days and 14 days afterwards. You will need the invoice number to make the payment. Step 5: Classes Begin
