Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences faculty, Arthur Chappelka, Hanqin Tian and Susan Pan recently attended the 2nd Annual Asian Air Pollution Workshop in Beijing, China. Scientists from China, Europe and the U.S. attended the conference where Drs. Chappelka and Tian were invited to give keynote lectures on their research.
Asian air pollution has become a global concern, which influences human health and food security. This workshop provided a forum for scientists to discuss the state-of-the art in measuring, observing and modeling air pollution impacts as well as potential solutions.
