Homecoming is a time marked by the Auburn Spirit. Homecoming is enjoyed by Auburn students and alumni. In 2010, the SGA Homecoming Parade was revived and has become another favorite tradition of the Auburn Family. Some of the many Homecoming festivities include: the Omicron Delta Kappa Cake Race, the Homecoming Football Game on Saturday, painted signs and windows, Miss Homecoming race and election, band parties, the Homecoming Parade and other community events.
The annual Homecoming Parade features the ODK Float Competition as well as the AU Marching Band, Cheerleaders, Miss Homecoming Candidates, and other university and community organizations.
Auburn’s Homecoming is on September 16th, 2017. Due to it being earlier in the season we will be accepting Miss Homecoming nominations NOW until April 28th 5:00pm. As many of you know, each of Auburn’s organizations, fraternities, and sororities have the opportunity to nominate a female student for the position of Miss Homecoming. I have attached the portion of the code with specifics of the qualifications. Nomination forms will be available on SGA’s page on AU Involve beginning Monday, April 3rd and are due Friday, April 28th at 5pm. Your nominee will fill out the form and sign up for their interview, but will need the president of the nominating organizations’ contact information. Here is the link that will go live Monday morning. Please let your members and nominees know that there are information sessions for anyone interested at the following dates and times: Monday, April 17 at 8:00pm in Student Center 2225 and Thursday, April 20 at 8:00pm in Student Center 2225.
