WriteFest BootCamp has been “rebooted” with a few changes to help better meet the needs of students in the writing stages of their theses, dissertations, or pieces for publication. Beginning Spring 2018, WriteFest BootCamp will continue as the WriteFest BootCamp Intensive Program, a two-day intensive writing workshop that provides students with two full days of consecutive, uninterrupted writing time. For those who prefer to have structured writing time set aside periodically throughout the semester, the Office of University Writing and Miller Writing Center are offering a four-part WriteFest BootCamp Series. Both programs offer students the time, space, and resources to work on their writing, as well as opportunities to join a community of writers, participate in discussion and information sessions, and get feedback from Miller Writing Center consultants. In addition to graduate students, we invite undergraduate students working on an Honors thesis to attend. For more information on both programs, read below.

The WriteFest BootCamp Series is designed to meet the needs of students who are seeking a commitment to structured writing time throughout the semester in order to work on their thesis, project, dissertation, journal article, or other writing for publication. The series will include four three-hour sessions on select Friday afternoons where participants are given time, space, and resources to achieve their writing goals. Miller Writing Center consultants will be available to provide feedback, and students will have the opportunity to participate in discussion with other students about their writing projects. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. Registration is required and you must commit to attending all four BootCamp sessions.
