Catlin is currently an Operations Engineer at SABIC’s LEXAN™ Monomer (BPA) Plant in Burkville, AL. He has been at the SABIC Burkville site since 2008 and has had roles in LEXAN™ Resin Plants 1&2 as a Process Availability Leader and Production Capability Leader. Key responsibilities have included implementing Stable Operations program to achieve new production records, leading the unit during bi-annual $15MM maintenance Turnaround, and identifying and implementing unit safety, environmental, production, and usage improvements.
Upon graduation from Auburn University in 2006, Catlin was hired into SABIC as part of General Electric’s Operations Management and Leadership program. He completed Total Cost-Out and Cycoloy™ Compounding rotations in Bay St. Louis, MS and Stable Operations and Phenol rotations in Mount Vernon, IN.
Catlin was born in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and grew up in El Paso, TX and Montgomery, AL. He is married to Erin with two sons (Hayden & Asher) and lives in Montgomery, AL. He plays trumpet with the Capitol Sounds Concert Band and plays violin for various activities as well.
